Coen brothers classics Blood Simple & Inside Llewyn Davis on UHD & Blu-ray in October
StudioCanal has announced new 4K restorations of two classics by Joel & Ethan Coen (No Country for Old Men, The Big Lebowski). The ground-breaking neo-noir Blood Simple, the brothers’ 1984 debut film, and the 2014 music feature film Inside Llewyn Davis, which received two Oscar nominations, will be released in October under the new label StudioCanal Classics – both in 4K quality and featuring extensive bonus material and new footage.

A ruthless bar owner (Dan Hedaya, The Usual Suspects) hires a private detective (M. Emmet Walsh, Blade Runner) to get rid of his wife (Frances McDormand, Fargo) and her lover (John Getz, The Fly), but the plan goes fatally wrong. Joel & Ethan Coen’s brilliant directorial debut from 1984 already showcases the DNA of the Coen universe: a ruthless neo-noir brimming with irony, suspense and visual mastery.
